Privacy Policy

Effective October 3, 2026

Solon (“Solon,” “we,” “us”) provides software for restaurants. This policy explains what information we collect through our website and app, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

  • Account information. When you sign in with Google or Microsoft, we receive your name, email address and an account identifier. We also store the restaurant details you enter.
  • Connected account data. If you connect an email account, we access it as described in “Google and Microsoft account data” below.
  • Business contact information. To provide the service, we may collect publicly available business information, including work contact details, from public sources and third-party providers.
  • Usage information. We collect basic usage and device information to operate and improve the service.

Google and Microsoft account data

When you connect a mailbox, Solon asks for permission to:

  • Send email on your behalf that you have approved in Solon.
  • Read email related to conversations you manage in Solon. We do not store the content of other messages in your mailbox.
  • Read limited contact information for people you correspond with through Solon.

We use this data only to provide and improve the user-facing features of Solon. Some of this data may be processed by AI services to provide those features, under terms that do not allow the provider to use it to train its models. Solon does not use your Google or Microsoft data to train generalized AI models.

Solon’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In particular, we do not sell this data, use it for advertising, or allow humans to read it, except with your permission, for security purposes, or to comply with law.

You can disconnect your mailbox at any time in Solon. You can also remove Solon’s access from your Google account or Microsoft account. When you disconnect, we delete the access tokens and the stored content of synced messages.

How we use information

  • To provide, maintain and secure Solon.
  • To honor opt-out requests.
  • To communicate with you about your account and the service.

We do not sell personal information.

How we share information

We share information only with service providers that help us operate Solon (such as hosting, AI processing, data and analytics providers), under agreements that limit their use of it. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights and users.

Retention and deletion

We keep information while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. We keep a record of opt-out requests so we can continue to honor them. To delete your account and associated data, email anthony@usesolon.com and we will do so within 30 days, except where we must keep information to comply with law.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including encryption, to protect information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.

Opting out

If you received an email sent through Solon and do not want more, use the unsubscribe link in the email or contact us.

Children

Solon is a business service and is not directed to children under 16.

We may update this policy. We will post the new version here with a new effective date and, for material changes, notify account holders.
